Air cleaner

The air intake system in the vehicle is responsible for incoming of the fresh air in to the vehicle. The air cleaner is an important part of the air intake system responsible for cleaning the air. The efficiency and performance of an engine depends on the quality of air. For better efficiency and a long life span the vehicle has to in pure air and the cleaners play a vital role in doing so. Any engine uses lots of air for fuel combustion and thus to have a complete combustion of the fuel the air should be pure. The main reason for wear of the engine is dust formation; the dust mixed with the lubricating oil forms a thick paste which results in wear and tear of the engine. There are much kind of air cleaner such as oil wetted mesh, dry air and wet type air cleaners. These air cleaners have to be cleaned regularly to have a efficient filtering of the dust particles. Usually cleaning of air filter is done by removing the dust particles using a brush and blowing high pressured air to remove the blocked holes. In the rainy season the water particle mixes with air and gets deposited in the air cleaner, for this problem the cleaner has to be removed and dried frequently.
